                                      REFRESHING GINGER LIME-ADE
This issue I’m sharing an absolute favourite with you and it is not one of mine! It is one of those recipes that needs no changes, no improvements. Sorry if you already have this recipe from The Medical Medium, Anthony William – but if you haven’t, you are going to love this refreshing and nourishing drink that is just perfect for a hot summer day.
Ginger, lime and mint - what could possibly provide a more refreshing mix?
The list of benefits from consuming ginger is a long one. The majority of ginger’s benefits come from the large number of known trace minerals, amino acids, enzymes and co-enzymes. Perhaps the most important property of ginger at this

time is that it is antispasmodic and calms your muscles and organs. If you hold all of your stress and tension in your throat (like me) ginger is an amazing relaxant and helps you let go of stress (it is going to be OK). And, just as an added bonus, ginger is known for its antibacterial and antiviral properties.
Another boost for the immune system is the amazing lime – high in vitamin C, magnesium, potassium and full of antioxidants. And, mint – so refreshing and still so calming to the digestive system. This summer beverage has you covered!
The only downside of this recipe is that you need a juicer to juice the ginger and lime.

Ingredients: Use organic where possible and always read ingredient labels.
• 1/4 cup honey
• 4 cups of filtered water
• 1 tbs ginger juice (depending on how juice/fresh your ginger is – but this should be between two or three 3cm pieces of ginger)
• 1 cup lime juice (again depending on juiciness of your limes – but this should be between 8 to 10 limes)
• 1/4 cup of mint leaves (chopped)
METHOD:
1. Have a large 1L glass jar clean and ready to go
2. Place honey and 1 cup of water into a small
saucepan and heat until all of the honey has melted.
Once melted, let cool.
3. Juice ginger and limes separately – until the
required amount has been reached. If you produce
too much, then you can always freeze for next time
4. Pour the ginger and lime juice into your glass jar
and add the remaining 3 cups of water
5. Stir through the cooled honey-water and chopped
mint leaves
6. Chill before enjoying (approx. 3 to 4 serves)
