DATA SECURITY: PROTECTING PARTICIPANT PRIVACY IN RESEARCH
Research involving humans requires protections of privacy, confidentiality and autonomy. Technology enables us to collect and store information easily and in more places. However, data breaches increase risks and challenges our understanding of data protection. In this 90-minute workshop, participants will learn the needs and ways to protect the collection, storage and exchange of data in our research scholarship.

Innovation Instruction offers tailored technical instruction in video production, interview setups, podcast creation, proper video and audio equipment use and software like iMovie, PhotoShop, Comic Life. Customizing the instruction to the assignment provides a seamless integration of in-class instruction and technical support into the assignment timeline for student and professor. Hands-on classes give the student a quick start to technology tools and help the professor handle workflow issues of a media project.
