'They Wouldn't Budge': Woman Gets a Scare When Fake Halloween Fangs Stay Glued to Her Teeth
MOBILE, Ala. — An Alabama woman had to have emergency dental work done after the fake teeth she glued in as part of a Halloween cos- tume got scary.
Anna Tew told WKRG-TV she was wearing the fangs for a zom- bie costume she put together, and used the glue that came with the teeth she bought for $3.
She tried for hours to get them out, and was in terrible pain.
“They wouldn't budge,” Tew told WKRG. "I even took a pair of wire clippers and cut the tips off of those."
An emergency dentist who was able to see her discussed the possibility of drilling and saw- ing them out. He
couldn’t numb the area, and picked and pulled at the fangs until they came out.
“I squealed like a baby and they got them out,” she said.
The dentist said that sometimes gums can cause things like fake teeth to become adhered naturally. Tew told WKRG that it’s not a risk she’s willing to take again.
