Man Who Played “Barney
The Dinosaur” Now A
Tantric Sex Therapist
That’s quite a change in careers.
The actor who played the chil- dren’s character “Barney the Dinosaur” for ten years has ven- tured into a new profession away from acting.
David Joyner has become a tantric sex therapist, and he has a purport- ed 30 clients whom he calls “goddesses.”
He claims to “unblock the energy” of sever- al women every week.
He has a clinic in Los Angeles, California, where women can have
“massages” for several hundred dollars per ses- sion.
“The energy I brought up [while] in the costume is based on the foundation of tantra, which is love,” he explains. “Everything stems, grows, and evolves from love. Even when you have emo- tionally blocked energy, the best way to remove it is to remove it with love, and then replace it with God’s divine love. Love heals and allows you to continue to grow.”
He discussed tantric sex and his beliefs with
Vice, saying “No food in the world can com- pare to god- dess nectar because spirit is involved. Before you taste the goddess nectar, give thanks. Say grace. I
would love women to under- stand how power- ful that energy is.”
He offers the full, sexual experi- ence with his “goddesses.” He reportedly does not always use protection when having sex with clients.
To avoid solicita- tion charges in California, he has his clients sign a carefully-written contract that requires they confirm they are not law enforce- ment. The first session is free, which provides consent, thereby creating a legal loophole.
