Postal Worker Leaves Mail On Side Of Road, Quits Job
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The U.S. Postal Service says hundreds of pieces of mail meant for Philadelphia resi- dents were dropped on the side of a New Jersey road when the carrier responsible for them quit his job.
Philly.com reports a New Jersey man made the odd discovery
Sunday morning in Pennsauken. The man posted a picture of the missing mail on Facebook.
Special Agent Scott Balfour of the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General said in a statement the mail had been scheduled for a delivery on Aug. 8 from the Roxborough Station Post
Office. According to Balfour, the Roxborough post office will deliver the mail.
The mail carrier who was respon- sible for the delivery resigned on Sept. 8. According to Balfour, the U.S. Postal Service doesn't "antici- pate any further action against" the former employee.
Florida Gas Station Owner’s Microwave Sign: ‘Do Not Warm Urine’
By Tribune Media Wire
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Florida gas station owner says she is bat- tling a bizarre problem – cus- tomers using the microwave to heat urine.
Parul Patel, who owns a BP gas station and con- venience store in Jacksonville, told WTLVshe’s “sick and tired” of “ran- dom people walk- ing [in] and it’s happening every
day.”
It’s gotten so bad, Patel says, that she had to post a sign on the microwave that reads, “Only for food use. Do not warm urine.”
It appears the problem isn’t entirely random, however – Patel’s On the Fly con- venience store is located steps away from LabCorp, which offers drug test- ing services, according to the
website.
“They become so aggressive with us,” Patel said.
The inspiration for the sign was an incident with a customer who Patel said started cussing at her and saying there was no sign telling her she couldn’t warm pee in the microwave.
LabCorp did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
