O.J. Simpson: Cuba Gooding Jr.’s Head Isn’t Big Enough To Play Me

O.J. Simpson thinks Cuba Gooding Jr. is a fine actor, but his head isn’t big enough to star as Simpson in “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.”
Former Nevada prison guard Jeffrey Felix — whose book “Guarding the Juice” is being pub- lished next month by ThomasMax — said the Lovelock Correctional Center doesn’t have FX, which is airing the series, and doesn’t allow DVDs either.
“He can’t watch it, but he’s heard a lot about it,” Felix told me. “He’s hearing it from the guards. He’s hearing it from Khloé Kardashian and from ‘A.C.’ Cowlings.”
Simpson, 68, is being
held at Lovelock on a 2008 kidnapping and armed-robbery convic- tion. He’ll be eligible for parole in 2017.
Felix said, “O.J. ... says [Gooding’s] not tall enough and his head is too small. O.J. has a huge head.”
Simpson’s yard name is Bobble Head, while the Native American inmates call him Buffalo, Felix said.
On a deeper level, Simpson is “upset” that the FX series ‎seems to suggest he’s guilty of murdering ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her
friend Ron Goldman.
One episode shows O.J. taking a lie detector test, and getting a minus 24. “That’s a complete flunk,” Felix said. “But O.J. told me [years ago] he passed the lie detec- tor.”
The slow-speed, white Bronco chase scene in the FX series missed the reason why Simpson decided not to commit suicide.
“The only reason he did- n’t shoot himself in the head in the Bronco is
that he saw a kid on the side of the road holding a sign saying, ‘We Heart You Juice!’” Felix said.
“It made him think of his own childhood, and about his own kids, and how they wouldn’t have any parents.”
