Unborn Baby Makes Heavy Metal Sign During Scan, Declared Themselves To
Be A Rock Fan?
Is this the moment an unborn baby declared them- selves to be a rock fan?
The baby has been rocking out in the womb but stunned its par- ents by making a ‘sign of the horns’ during a 19-week scan at a Glasgow clinic.
Dad-to-be Tom Dowie, 29, said: ‘The sonographer said she had been doing it for almost 20 years and had never seen anything like this. ‘I’m an old school heavy metal fan so this really is quite something.’
He added: ‘I lis- ten to old school bands like Slayer, Megadeth and Sylosis and Panthers. ‘So I’m pretty chuffed he or she will take after their dad. ‘At the last scan the baby was just flip- ping about. ‘He or she was seemed very keen to just get out. ‘We looked over at the
screen and saw the hand. ‘We were just really quite shocked.
Tom and fiancée Caitlin Welsh, 28, had attended the scan at private clinic Baby Stepps along with their two-year-old daughter Freya.
The couple, who run beard-groom- ing company Bedfordshire Beard Co togeth- er, said they were shocked when the unborn baby held up their index and little fingers.
Caitlin said: ‘Obviously when Tom blares out his heavy metal
when we’re work- ing the baby seems to be enjoying it. ‘We’ve shown Freya and she knows she’s get- ting a little brother or sister. ‘She doesn’t really have much to say on the hand ges- ture but she knows we find it all rather funny. ‘We were just so shocked when we saw it. ‘We just had to get a photo as a keep- sake. ‘We’re very excited to meet him or her.’
The couple said they are leaving the sex of their baby a surprise until the due date in March.
