World's Longest Eyelash Measured At 8 Inches

- A Chinese woman broke her own Guinness World Record when her longest eyelash was measured at a whopping 8 inch- es long.
You Jianxia, who originally set the record in June 2016, when her longest lash was 4.88 inches long, said doctors are unsure of why her eyelashes grow
to be so long.
"I first realized that my eyelash- es were growing in 2015. They continue to grow slowly, becoming longer and longer,"
Jianxia told Guinn ess World Records. "I did visit medical pro- fessionals to find out why my eye- lashes are longer than others peo- ple's eyelashes. The doctor could- n't explain this, and he felt it was
really amazing."
"I also tried to find scientific rea- sons such as genes or some- thing else. However, none of my family have long eyelashes like me, so it can't be explained," she said.
Jianxia's longest lash, located on the upper eyelid of her left eye, was officially measured at 8 inches, setting a new record
