JapaneseManAccusedOf TryingToPassHimself As A Young Woman
By Anthony Mackle
A 53-year-old man has been accused of pass- ing himself as a young woman.
Recently, photos emerged from a Twitter account under the name @zaitaku_iyada showing an attractive young Japanese girl who caught the attention of many. As the account kept posting selfies and images, many followers became engaged and interested in the woman.
But to their shock, the account was later revealed to be owned by a 53- year-old man, who had tried to pass himself as a young woman by using FaceApp to alter his appear- ance.
Although the man hasn’t revealed his name, he told his followers on Instagram and Facebook that he wanted to study how effective the filters were on the face alter- ation apps.
"FaceApp, I'm addicted to it, and I'm uploading
my selfie photos with cute pro- cessing,” he said. "You can also improve the tips and processing methods for tak- ing selfies. I'm an uncle in his 50s who usually works from home."
As the use of FaceApp contin- ues at a fast clip in Japan, people are growing con- cerned about identification issues related to crimes. The man in question too has been lam- basted on Twitter and Instagram for faking his identi- ty.

"The officer got out and was look- ing in the window, and I saw her looking at the mannequin," Cormier told Global News.
He said he went out and spoke to the officer, who confirmed a caller had apparently mistaken the mannequin seat- edatatablefora human customer.
Halifax Regional Police spokesman John MacLeod con- firmed officers were called to the restaurant Thursday morn- ing on a report of
"individuals not following public health directives."
"Officers attended and found there were no issues or violations at that time," MacLeod said.
Cormier posted a photo to the restaurant's Insta gram page show- ing the man- nequin with the police cars in the background.
"Please don't call the police on us. We are only open for takeout and delivery. No eat in, she's a man- nequin to help with social dis- tancing," he wrote.
