Danish 'Graceland' Changes Name After Lawsuit
Denmark's Elvis muse- um, which is a replica of Graceland in Memphis, has been forced to change its name because of trademark infringement.
Henrik Knudsen, who opened Graceland Randers in 2011, says the Memphis, Tennessee-based Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc has demanded a name change and 1.5m kroner (£148,000) in compensation.
The Danish version is twice the size of Presley's Graceland and is situated in Randers
- 210km (130 miles) north-west of Copenhagen.
It includes Mr Knudsen's private collection of Elvis artifacts, an American diner-style restaurant
and a souvenir shop.
He said he will change the name of the muse-
um to Memphis Mansion as of 1 January so that he can "focus on our business".
This year more than 130,000 people have visited the museum.
