Iran’s Angelina Jolie Look-alike SENTENCED To 10yrs In Jail For Corrupting Young People, Disrespecting Nation
A 19-year-old Iranian Instagram star who posted her spooky images resem- bling Hollywood actor Angelina Jolie has been sentenced to 10- years in jail.
Sahar Tabar, whose real name is Fatemeh Khishvand has been sentenced to jail for leading the youth to cor- ruption, among other charges.
The social media star was arrested in October 2019.
Masih Alinejad, a journalist in a series of tweets wrote: “I call on Angelina Jolie to
help an Iranian 19-year-old girl who received 10 years prison sen- tence for using makeup &
Photoshop to turn herself into Angelina. Islamic Republic has a history of torment- ing women. We
need to be united against this gen- der apartheid”.
Originally Tabar was detained with
blasphe- my, incit- ing vio- lence, gaining income through inappropri- ate means and encourag- ing youths to corrup- tion. Later, the teenager revealed that she has been cleared of two of the charges and now the charges of
corruption of young people and disrespect for the Islamic Republic stand.
Tabar altered her face through cos- metic surgery which then resembled a spooky version of Jolie and posted on Facebook- owned Instagram.
She became famous on Instagram last year after posting a series of images of her face altered through plastic surgery. It was reported that she underwent 50 sur- geries to look like Angelina Jolie. However, she later revealed that it was a mix of photoshop, make- up, and surgery.
