In our increasing- ly divided times, it’s the small, spur-of-the- moment acts of altruism that shine brightest. And during Tuesday’s nor’easter that swept most of New England, one 37-year-old Bostonian attor- ney named Jason Triplett stepped up to the plate to push a police wagon out of the snow.
In typical “who, me?” humility expected of an officer of the court, Triplett did
the deed on cam- era -- while dressed as Princess Elsa from the
film Frozen.
According
to BuzzFeed News, Triplett stated that he bought the Elsa costume last year because “he thought it would be hilarious to dress like the Disney character during a snow- storm.”
And judging by the reaction, he was right.
The video now stands at over 1.5 million views
on Facebook, with the online coliseum hailing Triplett’s selfless action as that of a “true queen.” When asked to survey what he had wrought, Triplett told BuzzFeed he “never expected to go this viral” and “wouldn’t go on the Ellen DeGeneres show unless Adam Rippon was there.”
Way to go, Jason/Elsa! In rough times, we should all hope to experience this kind of royalty.
