NO FUMES AND NO WORRIES
Prune, chop, cut and mow with no noise – Husqvarna has released a raft of new
battery powered products, all with the power and performance of their petrol counterparts.
Husqvarna’s AM435X AWD Automower (photo left) is the world’s first ever all-wheel- drive robotic mower and sets a benchmark for robotic mowers, making “too steep” a thing
of the past. Covering up to 3,500m2 and able to handle up to an impressive 70% incline, no terrain, obstacles or passages are off limits to the AWD Automower. The weather won’t hold it back either as it will mow quietly and effortlessly rain or shine.
Other additions to the Automower range this Spring are the AM305 – ideal for the smaller complex garden – plus the all new professional range, the AM550 and AM535AWD (photo below) with features like GPS Assisted navigation and Husqvarna Fleet services.
On top of which, this year, Husqvarna is celebrating its 25th anniversary of robotic mowing innovation. To celebrate, there’s a Limited-Edition Husqvarna Automower giveaway, so head to www.husqvarnacompetitions.co.nz to enter.
On to chainsaws. Tackle the treetops and beyond with the new Husqvarna T540iXP top-handle battery chainsaw, Husqvarna’s most powerful battery-powered top-handle chainsaw, equivalent to a 40cc pro petrol saw when fitted with a BLi200X battery. Designed for arborists, it’s a smooth, high performance chainsaw, with all the benefits of battery power without compromising on cutting performance.
Two other battery chainsaw additions to the range are the 540iXP and 340i.
For the ultimate battery-powered multi-purpose tool, you can’t look past the Husqvarna 325iLK trimmer (see bottom photo). Equivalent to a 25cc petrol engine, tackle the toughest of tasks quicker, quieter and more effectively, plus it’s compatible with the Husqvarna professional range of trimmer accessories.

Stockee eases the load
Industrial components and tools supplier RS Components has developed a
low-maintenance, supermarket-style inventory system that measures stock in real- time. The Stockee Smart Shelf system is super easy to incorporate into a business and will notify suppliers immediately when stocks are close to depletion.
Stockee Smart Shelf automates old Kanban systems and measures available stocking in real time via the total weight of the bin. Quantity information is transmitted to the Stockee server in the cloud and, as stock runs low, an automated re-order email is sent, improving MRO practices to reduce time lost in managing and delivering essential supplies for projects.
