Hansa’s double milestones
HAMILTON’S FINEST,
HANSA Products, has recently celebrated two
significant achievements.
In December, Honda held an
event at Hansa headquarters in Hamilton to mark a particularly significant milestone – Hansa’s 20,000th Honda engine!
Says Hansa: “It was a celebration of the great partnership that we have with Honda.
“Hansa Products have been using Honda engines on our machines for many years and both companies have strong reputations in NZ for quality, reliability and durability, which is what makes our chippers and their engines such a great pairing on the products we manufacture.”
Hansa has also been celebrating its 40th year in business.
Started by Manfred Vogel back in 1981, the first Hansa chipper came from humble beginnings in an old honey shed. Now, 40 years later, Hansa is a global business.
With Manfred’s retirement, Hansa is led by Manfred’s son, Martin Vogel, who is
taking Hansa into a new era.
Under Martin’s leadership, Hansa now
has established offices in Australia and Europe and supply regular exports to Australia, Netherlands, Germany, UK and beyond.
Hansa says that a big part of its success has been “our ability to keep true to our vision of being specialists who focus on making quality chippers for a lifetime.
“Hansa has remained true to our roots – to this day our company’s headquarters remains Waikato based, and is a kiwi- owned family business that takes pride in being NZ-made.”
