STIHL stating it’s almost ready to
launch its robotic lawnmower later this year (see pages 4-5), early entrants into the robomower market Husqvarna will soon add to its line-up with the 435X AWD.
This latest Husqvarna Automower takes the genre to the next level, being not only AI-enabled with smart home connectivity but also offering all-wheel drive to boot!
Designed to manage rough terrain and slopes with an incline of up to 70%, the 435X AWD can also be voice
controlled through the Amazon Alexa and Google Home voice/AI platforms as well as providing an open API, enabling your own custom commands.
In addition to the mower automatically stopping if it is lifted
up or overturned, the 435X AWD is also equipped with a remote object detection feature which reduces its speed as soon as it senses a nearby object.
Expect this new all-terrain robot mower to arrive here late this year or early next, says Husqvarna.

Early last year Hansa shifted out of its Tawn Place premises and into a new dedicated production facility.
More recently, this month Hansa formally opened its new premises (see photo above and more on pages 8-9).
What’s more, over in Australia, Hansa now has a Brisbane-based warehouse
and team because it has reassumed the distribution rights to sell lifestyle chippers directly into Australia through 120+ Australian dealers.
This transition was made official on 18 December 2018.
Hansa’s commercial chippers and the Predator line of stump grinders are also sold directly by its local team via this warehouse.
Further afield, Hansa has also now established distribution in Germany, having developed a CE certified product range to suit European market regulations.
These EU spec chippers have been available in the Netherlands in the past but now they have been further refined to better suit the markets in both the Netherlands and in Germany.
