Hardware gets awarded
ON TOP OF the accolades revealed in the
last magazine, several hardware-related companies and brands have been recognised for their achievements in recent weeks.
Among the winners at this year’s
RED Awards (www.redawards.co.nz/ the-awards/2020/) were the Laminex concept showroom at the Auckland Home Ideas Centre in the heart of Parnell which took out the Resene Colour + Texture Excellence Award and the Mitre
10 Tapware program which received a Customer Experience Special Award. At this year’s Interior Awards in
October, the ITM Support Office, by Stack Interiors, won the Workplace (up to 1,000m2) category. Ten category winners were named with the biggest prize of
the night going to the Commercial Bay Retail Precinct by Warren & Mahoney in association with NH Architecture.
Calling it a “well-conceived and
thoroughly resolved workplace project”, the Interior Awards Jury also said of
the ITM job: “Within the most highly contested and difficult category to judge, and with a number of high-end, boutique workplaces as finalists, it was a project with a humble budget and a blue-collar soul which ended up rising above the rest.
“The designers accomplished the transformation of a tired 1980s’ office space into a classy HQ by putting workers first and celebrating their main product through a clear and simple concept.”
Moving to the 2020 Deloitte Top 200 (www.top200.co.nz/finalists/), Bunnings ANZ has been named one of three Finalists in the Best Growth Strategy category, which recognises “outstanding growth performance”.
“Criteria include the past year’s revenue and profit growth. Other factors may include if the growth appears to be sustainable, if it is based on international business expansion and the short- and long-term advantages of growth for the organisation.” Beca and Xero are the two other Finalists.
