 WE’RE ALREADY ON the cusp of winter, daytime temperatures have finally dropped, and tradies all over the country are noticing a moment’s hesitation as they attempt to gun their glues, sealants and adhesives after sunrise.
That reluctant flow suggests a bit more care will be needed around curing times.
But there are much bigger issues testing the trade’s patience at the moment.

Tony Smith at SIKA sees no great change from 12 months ago but notes a general feeling that things are not getting done as quickly as they normally would.
“Consent numbers are terrific – everybody loves how the pipeline looks – but the capacity and timeframe for getting all that work done is being stretched.”
We begin our industry wrap with Bostik, where Paul O’Reilly is upbeat as we near the mid-point of another busy year.
