I Can’t
- Hillary Cheng
St. Edmunds College & Prep School- year 13
It was a normal day,
I don’t know what got over me, but suddenly out of nowhere, no warnings,
no sign,
nothing,
I’ve became sad.
For no reason at all.
I couldn’t see,
I couldn’t feel,
I couldn’t hear,
I couldn’t yell,
I couldn’t have done anything.
I wish someone would notice,
but there’s no one.
Everyone minding their own business, when friends asked “are you okay?”, “I’m fine.”
The voices in my head became louder and louder, screaming to hell,
I couldn’t handle it anymore,
it was the death of me.
I tried to let it go,
but I can’t.
I closed my eyes and never wish to open it again, besides aren’t we all born to die?
