think he is touched by my words, he slowly steps forward to me and put his face near mine. My heart has never moved this fast. I might die if he gets closer. He gives me a kiss and it feels really soft and gentle. Yes, I died in my heart already. He tries to wrap his arms around me but he was too small. Somehow, we managed to hug and our hearts are bouncing next to each other. I love this feeling, this sensation. I feel loved and blessed. I want to be this close with him forever.
As the sky is getting darker and darker, the star shines brighter and brighter. We stayed up at night to cuddle and talk while staring at the beautiful shimmering sky. We talked about what we like and dis- like, where we want to go, what our dreams are, more and more. “I want to light up a candle”, he said it out of the blue. “Why?”, I asked with a confused face. He hesitated for a few seconds and answered, “It’s more romantic with it, isn’t it?”. Candlelight is romantic, but it is so sudden that it doesn’t feel right. Does he have any other intention to it? Wait...what am I saying? He is the sweetest pumpkin pie in the world. He is so thoughtful and romantic, I should trust him. I took out a rose-scented candle from in my drawer. I don’t really use candles so it was in my drawer unused for many years. After we light up the old candle, he keeps looking around the room and sometimes stare at the candle. Maybe I am overthinking about it. In fact, he was right, the candle does make the atmosphere better. The rosy scent of the candle makes me feel so relaxed and joyful. I hold his hand tight and I will never let go of it.
But he let go of mine. Suddenly, he pushes my hand away and reach to the candle. He aggressively pushes the candle down and it caused a fire. The flame is burning everything--- my bed, my house and my heart. I am deeply confused on what is happening, why did he do that? I look at him and his face looks relieved but also guilty. “Sorry, you will find someone to save you soon”, he said that and starts running away from the fire. Strangely, his body was growing bigger and bigger as he ran, almost as a size of a normal human. I want to chase after him, but I am trapped from the fire that he left me. The fire got bigger and my body is too huge to pass through any possible ways to escape. There is also a strong distasteful smell of burning and the smoke is filling in my body, I couldn’t breathe properly. The heat from the fire is burning my skin, I am losing my sense of touch. My eyes are slowly closing and I start to faint...
Chirp-Chirp-! Chirp-Chirp! Am I hearing birds? Am I in heaven, above the clouds so I can hear them? I open my eyes. It is so bright, I really thought I was in heaven. But no, I’m...on a street? Next to a garbage bin? Everything looks really big. My surroundings look oddly familiar. I am outside but I don’t feel any cold. I noticed that I couldn’t feel my heart beating which I usually could. I try to stand up from whatever I am sitting on, but my body is frozen, I could only move my head. I look down and saw my tiny fingers nailed down to my tiny palms. I am wearing an old blue satin dress. I began to realize that I am trapped in a doll’s body. Connecting to what happened previously, I believe the only way for me to escape from this body is... to wait for somebody to save me.
