for the rest of his classmates to take cover behind some of the sports equipment on the ground floor. Everyone was split into groups, Mark was with Johannes, while everyone else was grouped together. “I’m not liking the looks of this position, Joe.” Mark shouted nervously.
“That’s what she said and great minds think alike.” retorted Johannes while shouting back.
The screeching stopped and a person’s voice started to be heard through the megaphone.
“ALL ARMED PERSONNEL PLEASE EXIT THE BUILDING WITH YOUR HANDS WHERE WE CAN SEE THEM! WE’VE GOT THE BUILDING SURROUNDED! THERE IS NO ESCAPE! I RE- PEAT! THERE IS NO ESCAPE!”
“That’s just great.” Johannes sighed depressingly yet sarcastically at the same time. He looked at Mark and grabbed his shoulder firmly with his good arm and said with a serious tone.
“Mark! I don’t think I have much time left, but you gotta know that everything that is happening now has a reason! I don’t have time to explain, but this will help clear things.”
Johannes then opened his trench coat and took out a Walkman Cassette Player and gave it to Mark. Mark took the cassette player and looked at it in confusion.
“Mark! You have to listen to the tapes and make sure that no one knows that you have them. I don’t know how many there are. Hell, there could be 7 like in 13 Reasons Why, but no matter what, you have to collect them all and listen to them.”
“I understand, Joe,” Mark nodded understandingly. “But what are we going to do to get out of here?”
“Don’t worry, I got you guys covered. Everyone will walk outside as instructed, while I stay behind. Don’t forget to message the plan through Discord.” said Johannes with a small smile.
Mark nodded in approval as, he took out his iPhone and sent the message through Discord to inform everyone else, who was taking cover about the plan.

Mark and the rest of his classmates were walking towards the school entrance with their hands
raised up. They were all taken to a small temporary base behind a Police bus right in front of the school. Immediately, Mark and Saad were trying to request that they negotiate a ceasefire with Jo- hannes. However, the police negotiator, the same Police officer who was speaking with the mega- phone earlier, refused their offer.
“No can’t do son, we don’t negotiate with terrorists.” said heir negotiator
