These exercises are little steps to developing a cognitive skill that will allow you to face any uncomfortable, novel or difficult person or task for the rest of your life.
Most of us want all of life’s difficulties to be fixed easily and quickly. The Coping Skills program and Cosmos Crow’s Adventures teaches that this process is difficult, takes time and we must be willing to accept its “costs” (not being perfect, doing difficult or scary tasks and acquiring new friends).
If your children are willing to do this, then unlike Whoos A. Fraid, they will have a happier and more successful life ... and have many more lessons to learn.
