As he turned to continue walking to the Great Hall, he was confronted by the Wizard. “Isn’t it a shame your Majesty that we are surrounded by so many dumb animals which have so much distaste for royalty?” The Royal Journal recorded that on that very day a Royal Edict was issued banishing all animals from the kingdom.
The Royal Journal recorded that the edicts of the Prince caused much hardship and concern. With no flowering plants or animals, food was becoming scarce. Because of the lack of doctors, illness and plague were claiming many lives. But the Prince was happy, eating his ice cream and pie, with no fear of stings or embarrassment or any possibility of disrespect.
When Buster had finished, I gave out a low whistle and said, “His anger really made life hard for others.” “And it was about to get even harder,” replied Buster. I turned to Buster and said, “The Little Prince was causing all this hardship, just because he got angry at this-or-that. Why didn’t someone stop him?”
Buster replied that apparently everyone was too afraid of making him angry, even though things kept getting worse and worse. “Is that the end of the story,” I asked. “We are almost to the end,” said a very sad looking Buster. The Royal Journal recorded that things got so bad in the kingdom that some brave people went to the Little Prince to ask him to reconsider his edicts.
