Colmore was 72 years old and was not employed. (I’m wondering if they had been living on any settlement Lora may have received from the railroad lawsuit) Their neighbors were all family-related in some way ....... The Sparks, Cannons, and Annie Hines, to name a few.
Lora was 61 years old when she died at her home in Watson on January 6, 1936. She had suffered with gallstones for many years but cause of death was liver cancer. The death certificate says that she had cancer for 1-2 years and that the doctor had been treating her since May of 1935. She is buried at New Chapel Cemetery in Watson.
At some point Colmore went to live with Aunt Mildred and Uncle Newt. Colmore was 91 years old (3 months shy of his 92nd birthday) when he died at the home of Aunt Mildred on February 11, 1949. Cause of death of Myocarditis – senility and he also had uremia. He is buried at New Chapel Cemetery.
