The 10th Division is to replace the historic, famous First Infantry Division, which has beren stationed in Germany for the past 12 years. The First or Big Red One as it has been nicknamed, took part in virtually every invasion by U.S. forces during World War II in the European Theatre of War.
Aunt Gin, Uncle Blue, Linda and Mike left for Frankfort, Germany on July 27, 1955, via The Flying Tiger Line, Inc. They returned from Frankfort Germany on the Seaboard & Western Airlines and arrived in New York on April 24, 1958.
As is the Craig tradition – Another Reunion to celebrate their homecoming. Aunt Gin and Uncle Blue left for Ft. Benning, GA on June 28, 1958. Aunt Charlotte and Uncle Clifton accompanied them to Georgia and Robert and Helen Kraus joined them on July 4th and remained for a week.

1959: April -- Aunt Gin was to undergo a serious surgery. Daddy, Mother and Aunt Charlotte left for Columbus, GA, to be with her. They were expected to stay a week.
