New home at 17000 SW 89th Court in Perrine was a modest 3-bedroom, 2 bath home with a pool, large patio on a corner lot with coconut palms galore and a small sunken garden and a huge live oak tree with a stone wall of coral rock on 2 sides. It was a nice house with a beautiful yard. The purchase price was $21,900. The asking price for the house today is $425,000, and it doesn’t look hardly any thing like it did when we lived there.

1967-1973: Daddy’s office with PMA was in the Baptist Hospital in Kendall, Florida
1973: Daddy was transferred to Lakeland Regional Hospital, in Lakeland Florida. Daddy managed the computer operations at the hospital during the 1970’s and retired as VP for National Data Communications, Dallas, Texas.
Daddy and Ruth lived on Sandra Way, in Lakeland until 1991, when they moved into an over 50 golf- course development called Sandpiper, which would be their last move.
Daddy loved tinkering with his antique clocks and other treasures. He was always telling stories and loved being with his family. He adored Ruth and Ruth adored him ... spoiling him rotten. Her love and devotion for him until the day that he died was unwavering.
Daddy died of heart failure on December 16, 2010, at the age of 87. He is buried at Oak Hill Burial Park, in Lakeland, FL.
