CHAPTER 9
Back On The Road Again!
After traveling and doing shows in Hawaii and the Far East for a year, I accepted an offer to go back to the world-famous Off Broadway from my old friend Voss Boreta, thinking at the time that it was the right thing to do and Voss treated me like a star. A lot of people would have given anything to have been in the position I was in. Every night someone famous would come to that club. It never ceased to amaze, looking into the crowd and seeing people like Rick Nelson, the Righteous Brothers, Clint Eastwood, professional golfer Ray Floyd and many more. I was being paid good money to be there. But it seems no matter how good everything was, there came the point when I just couldn’t get excited about going on stage every night. North Beach was starting to get a little trashy.
