P. 22
Your signal is a. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . When you feel: RED LIGHT . . . . . . . . . . . . . VERY ANGRY, SAD, EMBARRASSED
You should Stop and don’t do anything!
What am I thinking right now and does it really make sense? What are di erent ways of thinking about this situa on? What will happen if I do something di erent than my usual?
YELLOW LIGHT . . . . . . . . . A LITTLE UPSET, SAD, CONCERNED
You should Slow down, evaluate.
What am I thinking right now and does it really make sense? If it does, go with it. If not, what are some alterna ves?
GREEN LIGHT. . . . . . . FEELING GOOD, CONFIDENT, RELAXED
Check your thinking. It should be truthful and make sense.
If it does, then follow through with what you want to do.
Don’t let others talk you into changing direc on (your decision).
Both Mad Squirrel and Sad Squirrel were at the “Red Light.” They did not try and get to the “Yellow” or “Green” and they both had Thumbs Down behavior. Happy Squirrel started in the “Yellow,” as he did not like that others might be talking about her.
But she talked truthfully to herself, got herself to the “Green” and was able to stay happy. In your life, try to make your decisions when you have the “Yellow” or”Green” Emo onal Signal Light.
