to send the bills in January instead. Tom seconded motion. Motion passed. Resident suggested we also put up signs at subdivision entrances at the same time the bills are sent.
The Shenandoah Homeowners Association dues remain at $30 per year. Please send in your dues, or you can pay them via PayPal on the website. (shawebwatch.com).
Treasurer’s Report- Mike clarified that the $1,783.95 expense noted in August was for flags purchased in May for distribution in the subdivision. He explained that the March receipts included funds received for the flags, including $1,000 that SECPID paid toward the flags. Mike will adjust the figure to reflect this. It was pointed out that Grass Cutting and Newswatch postage are our two biggest expenses.
Security Report – Tom Hirschey – The patrol stats will be published in the Newswatch. Tom reported that we still have 182 patrol hours per month, averaging 6 hours a day. Chester Welch suggested we take under consideration the increase of patrol hours. Tom also reported that the camera at Shenandoah Ave at Jones Creek, our 2nd oldest camera, will be replaced with the newer style of camera. It should last a lot longer. New camera sites planned include Malvern Hill at Altus, Vicksburg at Shenandoah Ave., and Vicksburg near Nature Trail Dr., among many others. Tom is working on cooperative agreements with other subdivision to do more sites economically. Still waiting on a legal decision for that.
Tom reminded us that the National Day Out Against Crime will be held at St. Andrews Methodist Church on October 27 from noon - 3:00 p.m.
