Did you know that in the animal world, we don’t even have those expressions? Most of us don’t need ways to express confusion because we were not paying attention. Most of us are always paying attention.
I keep saying, most of us because not all of us animals pay attention. There is always an exception. When I was young, the exception was Dan Crow. Dan almost never paid attention and was known as Distracted Dan.
The fact that he did not pay attention was so unusual that everyone noticed how strange it was to have someone like Dan around. I can still remember the rhyme that the others made up about Dan.
