Now, I was beginning to understand why Ollie was so well liked. He said that, Sometimes you even have to do things that you would rather not do because you will be helping others, like when he volunteered to stand guard.
Ollie said that he was more fortunate than all of the other owls who were already here when he arrived. He explained that he could learn to do what worked and was not controlled by old bad habits.
He could watch others and pay attention in order to learn the skills necessary to be happy and well liked.
