The advice the Elf gave the two cranes was designed to make their lives easy and free of danger. But it was not good advice if you wanted to survive in this New World. Some of you will go from one person to another seeking advice about how to deal with problems.
Unfortunately, what some of you are really doing is trying to find someone who will agree with your Stinky Thinking about something or someone.
You may have noticed that the first crane did not question the suggestions of the Elf. He never asked, Does this make sense? Unfortunately, there are many of you reading this story who want to believe things that are foolish. You want to believe that you should not have to work hard to be successful. You want to believe that you should never have to do anything that you consider scary, like reading out loud or performing in a play.
You want everything and everybody to stay the same and never change. That would make it easy for you to know what to do and how to act. But that is never going to happen. That is what the Cantdo Cranes wanted and you know what happened to them.
