But just as in your real world, much of what is necessary for success and happiness is difficult to learn.
Many things that will be fun in the future may not be fun now when you are just learning them.
The problem is that when you are young you don’t have enough experience to know what will be important in the future. The Woolly Whiners thought that it was too much trouble to turn over logs for a few nasty grubs.
Thus, they had little to eat. In their world, that meant that they had little success and happiness in the future.
If you think that learning your subjects in school is too much trouble, you will have difficulty getting a good job. In your world, that will mean that you will have little success and happiness in the future.
Connie Crow and Cosmos Crow understand the point of this story. But they also know all about how humans behave and that nobody whines like humans.
