Aug 18 Arts and Crabs Fest, Burton Coliseum Complex 7001 Gulf Hwy, Lake Charles. With the purchase of a wristband, festival goers can access an extensive crab and beer tasting which features some of Southwest Louisiana’s
most popular restaurants each offering a crab dish that is representative of their cuisine’s styles and personalities. Louisiana craft brew samples are offered as complementary additions to all dishes.
Aug 24 and Aug 26Ark-La-Tex Music Heritage Festival, Festival Plaza, 101 Crockett St Shreveport. The 3rd Annual Ark-La-Tex Music Festival will feature over 70 acts Performing on 3 stages, kids music workshop, food and craft vendors.
Aug 30 – Sept 3 rd LA Shrimp & Petroleum Festival Downtown Morgan City 985-385-0703 Activities include an arts and crafts show, live music, children’s activities, carnival, a blessing of the fleet, street parade, 5k run/walk, fireworks, car show, gospel stage, art show, an outdoor mass, and plenty of food.
