Page 18 - FS-Tooshy and Hushup

As you will remember from the story, Tooshy was a Fradicat and Hushup was a Lookatme.
All Fradicats were expected to think the way that Tooshy thought. All of the Lookatmes were expected to think the same way as Hushup. The good thing about being a human is that unlike the characters in our story, you can change the way you think.
You may be a little like Tooshy and tell yourself, I can never learn all of these spelling words. This is too hard. You and I both know that is Stinky Thinking. But you can change your thinking to, This spelling is hard but if the others can do it so can I if I try. Because you are now having Good Thinking, you will practice and learn your spelling words.
You may be a little like Hushup and tell yourself, The teacher must call on me because I know the answer. She should not call on the others. They don’t know anything.
You can see that this is Stinky Thinking and will cause you to become angry if the teacher calls on someone else. You can change your thinking to, I hope she calls on me because I know the answer. But if she does not, it is no big deal. I will get to answer another question. That is Good Thinking and your behavior is Thumbs Up.
