He repeatedly told the others that he liked the festival and he hoped that everyone enjoyed it but he just did not like chocolate.
Despite what Squiggy said to the others, he was excluded and treated badly. Finally, seeing that no one would have anything to do with him, Squiggy climbed a large, dead oak tree where no one else ever went. He sat on a branch next to an old woodpecker hole to watch the others play and celebrate.
On the last day of the festival, Red Tail pulled aside a number of the squirrels and said, “Have you noticed how few nuts are on the trees this year. Squiggy’s magic is working and it will be a hard winter for all of us.”
“But it is early in the season and this does not look any different than the trees did last year at this time,” said one of the group.
“You’re wrong!” said Red Tail. “It is a lot worse. It is the worst I have ever seen. Either you are dumb or you are with Squiggy and want us to starve.” The entire ... yes,
