Page 4 - SB-Chocolate Festival
P. 4
Hello, Cosmos Crow here. Today I would like to tell you a story about how we can foolishly dislike things and others for no good reason. It is called being prejudiced. You can be prejudiced toward others or tasks or foods or even new experiences. It all has to do with Stinky Thinking and the foolish things we tell ourselves.
I happened to be visiting some cousins at the time that this story takes place. My cousins live in a small woods next to a large playground.
Close to my cousins lives a colony of squirrels. They do the things that most squirrels do. They play, eat, have babies and put away nuts for the winter and oh yes... they have their annual Chocolate Festival.
Well now, not every squirrel colony has a Chocolate Festival but this one does. They have it each year in the summer. It starts at the first full moon after the children begin coming to the playground during the daytime. The festival lasts for a week.
During this time, all of the squirrels one year old
(a squirrel teenager) and older eat only chocolate or foods containing chocolate. Chocolate covered peanuts are a particular favorite but an acorn dipped in some melting chocolate is also very good.
