Page 18 - SB-Take me out to the Ball Game
P. 18

I am sure that some of you reading this story see yourself as the Mad Boy or Sad Boy. A few of you may see yourself as the third boy. But I bet all of you wish that you could be more like the third boy. What made him so different?
He also missed the ball just like the Mad Boy and the Sad Boy. So what was different about Glad Boy? He was disappointed that he missed the ball but he did not blame anyone.
He told himself that it was great that they had almost caught a ball because it was hit to the outfield fence. He told himself that if they kept playing well, they would have a great season.
The things Glad Boy told himself were more correct than the things Mad Boy or Sad Boy told themselves.
He looked for the truthful positives and had Good Thinking. Looking for the real and truthful positives rather than looking for negatives and someone to blame can be practiced and learned.
