Uncle Ed, Grandma Adams, Aunt Mary Craig and Mary
Mary was born July 3, 1926 to the parents of Alfred Bernhart, a concrete finisher, and Myrtle Louise Machinson. Mary married George J. Campbell, Jr. a disabled veteran of WW2, on April 10, 1947. They had 1 son, Billy, born circa 1949-1950.
Mary’s son Billy had a son, Billy (Jr.) born May 20, 1969, and the child lived with Uncle Ed and Mary from the time he was an infant. At some point he was legally adopted by Uncle Ed and Mary. He is not married and still lives at 407 Mary Street, in Jeffersonville, in the house where he grew up, having inherited it from Mary.
Mary died April 11, 2014, at Westminster Nursing Home and is buried at Eastern Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
Uncle Ed was 60 years old when he died April 9, 1980, from Myocardial infarction from his 12-year history of heart disease. Contributory factor was diabetes. He is buried at Eastern Cemetery in Jeffersonville.

Edward Allen (Butch) – Born February 19, 1944, in Jeffersonville, Indiana
Butch is retired and he, his wife Shirley and their beloved pet Annie live in Baton Rouge, LA.
Butch and Gary were musicians, lived in California and had recordings prior to going into the service. Butch played the accordion and keyboards and Gary played the guitar and sang. They were always willing to entertain the Craig family when they visited Indiana and those days hold such special memories in my heart.
