 Mark your calendars: SHA Board Meeting | November 12th | 7:00pm | Jones Creek Library
Entrance Sign Committee Report –Sandy and Don reported progress is continuing toward Shenandoah Estate’s new entrance sign on Jones Creek Road. A great deal of preparation work is necessary before any construction can begin. Both Sandy and Don are working with officials to complete these goals. A study is underway to determine the disposition of the North Wall. More on that progress later.
Board Member Election Committee - Don Regner announced the current SHA Board Member Officers had expressed a desire to continue serving on the SHA Board of Directors. Don made a motion that the currently seated Officers are reelected for an additional term going forward. The motion was 2nd by JC, and the vote to maintain the current Board Officers was unanimous.
Unfinished Business –
New Business - Two Commissioners must be added as a replacement for retiring Commissioners on the SECPID Board of Commissioners for 2020. Eileen will be taking names before SHA Board selects the new Commissioners for the vote in January 2020
Card and Flowers were sent to Eileen Stradley and Sandra Lambert’s families. Darryl motioned for the funds being used for this purpose be expensed by the SHA and 2nd by Ken; the motion was approved.
The next monthly business meeting of the Shenandoah Homeowners Association Ltd. will be on Tuesday, November 9, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at the Jones Creek Library.

November 19th, the SECPiD will hold their last meeting for 2019 at the Jones Creek Library at 6:30 PM.
The National Day Out Against Crime will is held on Saturday, November 2, from 12:00-3:00 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church. The next SECPID meeting will be held on November 9th at 6:30 at the Jones Creek Library.
Beautification Report –Kevin - The “YARD OF THE MONTH” in Shenandoah Estates for October is 16530 Missionary Ridge. They will receive a $25 gift certificate from Cleggs Nursery. Congratulations! Residents are reminded that they can nominate yards for “Yard of the Month” on the website.
Architecture Report A question was raised about the sign on Wilderness and Chadford. Codes were checked showing that the maximum size for a temporary sign is 24 sq. ft., indicating that a 4x6 or 3x8 ft sign is acceptable. Three cards were sent out for minor shrubbery obstruction of the sidewalks that could potentially result in injury. All three homeowners have responded by trimming the overgrowth. Ken thanks the home owners for taking timely action in resolving the concern. There was discussion again about the terrible overgrown condition of the ditches off of Confederate Ave. behind Green Trails. Ken will follow up with parish personnel again.
Tom and Ken have resolved the upkeep issue regarding the house at Confederate and Green Trails.
Newswatch/Website Report – Ed reported that the website is maintaining a high number of visits and is updated regularly. The NEWSWATCH delivered its new 24-page format for October, and the November issue is in production.
