Woolly Whiners became extinct in the wild for unusual reasons. Most animals become extinct because of too many predators or too little food. Maybe the climate changes or the places they live are destroyed.
But the Woolly Whiners in Connie Crow’s story became extinct because they were whiners. A whiner is someone who complains about having to do or not to do something due to their Stinky Thinking.
Take the example of studying. Everyone knows that you have to learn a lot of things in order to be happy and successful in life. No one wants you to go to school just because they are trying to be mean to you.
Everyone knows that to learn anything well, you must practice. In your world, you call this homework. In our world, we animals call it ... learning to survive.
