The same is true for the other examples Connie used in her story. If you tell yourself, My parents want me to go to bed because they love me and don’t want me to be tired tomorrow, you will go to bed at the proper time without complaining.
And when it comes to getting ready for supper, you can tell yourself, So what if I have set the table three days in a row. It won’t kill me to do it again. I will not make an issue about something so small.
You may not be pleased that you have to set the table again but your Good Thinking lets you deal with the situation very well.
Life will not always be fair but whining about it will only make you feel worse (Not OK) and act badly (Thumbs Down).
