 LUXE STRUCTURE
structured fabrications holistically were softer and offered more drape. luxe hand feels are significantly more important than fancy weaves. the construction in these fabrications were back to the classics, allowing the hand feel to shine. twill, canvas and piques were the common weave structures found throughout the shows.
strong twill lines continue to be important as we go into spring and summer. the prominent line offers a modern texture that can be seen from afar. this is great conformation for us as this is something we have developed into as a core strategy.
inspired by moroccan silk cactus pillows, we loved taking these classic utilitarian weaves and playing with interesting cross dye effects. it offers a complex and dimensional version of these base clothes.
tencel and modal blends were a significant larger part of the mills lines. we are playing with adding dobby and jacquard effects along with yarn dye versions with hints of lurex. this category has a lot of room for growth and
experimenting through developments. adding soda wash effects and sueded finishing helps elevate this fabrication.
