The Sales Comparison Approach was employed to arrive at the appraised Fair Market Value. The Income Approach and the Cost Approach were considered and rejected as not applicable to this appraisal.
This highly important collection of Louisiana material culture will remain intact as part of a museum and cultural education center. It will serve as one of the most important museums of its type in the Gulf South and will be an incredibly important resource for fine and decorative arts scholars nationwide.
