BRIDGE SPOTLIGHT
For more than 25 years, Priory’s campus has been the setting for the Peninsula Bridge middle school academy program. For five weeks, highly motivated middle school students from underserved communities across the Peninsula engage in academic instruction, mentorship, and field trips to gain additional skills in critical thinking and STEM. The vision of the Peninsula Bridge program is that all students, if given equal access and opportunity, can reach their full potential and graduate from high school and four-year colleges. Priory is proud to participate as a Peninsula Bridge campus and is overjoyed when middle school academy students choose to apply, and are accepted to Priory for high school. Four members of Priory’s class of 2018: Derek Abarca, Joseph Calderon, Elizabeth Duncan, and Alondra Manriquez, are Peninsula Bridge graduates.
