Adult Formation Retreats
One side effect of having a child at Priory, for many parents, is a deepening curiosity about the Benedictine way of life. That’s why, four years ago, Father Martin and Director of Campus Ministry Molly Buccola created special retreat days where Priory parents could come together to learn, reflect, recharge, and find that all-important balance and community. Last year the program was bigger than ever, with alumni parents and trustees among the participants for the first time and six full retreat days offered, including a day of yoga and meditation with teacher Alex
Thayer. Molly and Father Martin enjoy helping parents find time for themselves and each other, and helping them understand their kids and the school a little better. Buccola says, “I walk away feeling
so fulfilled. I so appreciate hearing parents’ stories, their struggles but also their hopes, and how the Benedictine life and perspective offers some type of sanctuary within that. It’s beautiful.”
