Page 165 - 2014 Yearbook
P. 165
Four years. It’s enough time to go from a silent bookworm into a theatre geek. Enough time to join a choir. Enough time to start a club, learn to waltz, help found a 48-hour play, and learn the true value of scented pens. Enough time to meet people whose friendships, I hope, will last a life time. But it is not enough time to spend with those amazing people. It is not enough time to pursue the passions I have only so recently discovered. It is not enough time to truly appreciate the amazing place that Priory is. So if my life is a book (yes, I’m still a bookworm underneath it all), I am excited to turn to a new chapter. And yet I am also left with a sense that the chapter labeled “Priory” was all too short. But for right now, since I don’t know what that new chapter is going to hold, I’m going to skip to the acknowledgements. Prepare to be thanked.
Bianca - for being there when I need you, late-night sleepover conversations, and stopping me from doing stupid things. (I sincerely swear that I will never climb on top of a play structure again.)
Camille - for ranting, sleepovers, writing, and your love of puns. Watching how much you like them makes me happy. And also for showing me how cool horses can be -- I promise I will learn how to ride in college, but you’d better sing before we graduate.
Chris - for dragging me into the world of theatre, and showing me exactly how much someone can accomplish in 24 hours. You are an inspiration. And I promise that I will come see your shows when they are on Broadway.
Mary - for book recommendations, sassiness, AP Psyc, and the determination that we will return to Europe. I promise that I will watch Midnight in Paris within the next year, and I will also read The Moon and Sixpence.
Rachel - for photography, capture-the-flag, crazy backstage-ness (I will never forget dancing backstage during Beauty), and good advice. I forgive you for forgetting to invite me to your birthday party, so please let it go.
Sabina - for math class, late-night texting, Macbeth references, and being my angst buddy. It’s a good thing I’m not taking math ever again, because I don’t know how I’d get through it without you.
Sarah - for being my twin. (Bang bang!) And for high-fives, and fixing my hair, and dragging me into improv. And for your amazing musical. I’m going to teach everyone in college your songs about caffeine, I swear.

Underclassmen of the Priory Theatre - for being the fantastic, quirky people that you are. You’ve taught me so much, and I am so proud of you. I’ll come see your shows whenever I can.
Members of the Priory Theatre (past and present) - for giving me a home.
