she's the editor”
Dearest staff members,
Over the past nine months, we have spent innumerable hours working on this book, crying over this book, fighting over this book, and sacrificing way too much time and energy to this book. I've seen you during late days in crazy pizza comas and in Hunger Games-style battles to the death over the last cookie after deadline days. You have all (somehow) survived my reign as editor, not complaining (too much) when I told you to rethink your headlines (with the exception of Michael Zhao), and staying strong when nobody brought you food. I'm so grateful for the work that you've done, and I'm so sorry for making this a dictatorship. Wait, no, I take that back, I'm totally fine having complete executive power.
Thanks for the good times, friends. May your days be filled with yerd-related humor, your nights with layouts and triple-checking names and grades, and your
afternoons with following teachers around to get quotes before deadline. You're the best.
