Who is your favorite basketball or soccer player. Why?
My favorite soccer player is by far Cristiano Ronaldo. My favorite quote of his is, “Maybe they hate me because I'm too good.” (2010) I like him because he has a lot of talent and isn't afraid to admit it, even though people look at him as a cocky player. - Sergio Lopez (10)
My favorite basketball player is Jerry Zeng because he has got that beautiful stroke -Michael Zhao (10)
Kobe is my favorite basketball player in the world because he is so cool. -Austin Risley (10)
The Cubs are just as skilled on the field as they are on the court.

The middle school girls' soccer season started out
victorious, and the wins kept coming, but this season was all about having fun and not getting frostbite. Even in some record low temperatures, these girls never gave up and were examples of truly dedicated team players. Composed of many experienced players, the team went undefeated this season, battling extremely tough opponents from all over the Bay Area. When asked about how she thought the season was going, Maya Blevens (6) had nothing but positive things to say about the Lady Panthers. “On the girls soccer team, we had lots of fun playing together. We became very close as teammates. Practices were a great balance between playing fun games and working hard, sometimes until we collapsed. Our coaches were great too. It has been an amazing season, and I am having so much fun!” Coaches Mike Loftis and Myles Somerville said, “The team had some very talented players, and many of them have been playing soccer for a while. This led to such an incredible season.”
The boys' basketball team had an exciting season this year. Represented by three teams, the boys' middle school basketball program worked hard while playing against extremely competitive schools. The sixth grade team had an outstanding season becoming masters of free throws and defensive plays. The seventh grade team played with passion, focusing mostly on offensive plays and backboard shots. The eighth graders were amazing on the court, mainly working on rebounding and layups as well as being role models for the other teams. The Panthers never gave up, even when playing some of the hardest teams in the league. In the traditional Priory way, everyone was welcomed with honor and respect both on and off the field. When asked about being a member of the team William Bartlett (7) exclaimed, “Basketball was so fun this season! I really liked being a part of such a fun and dedicated team. We always left our hearts on the court. What I really enjoyed the most though was Coach Riebhoff's haircut!”
