ANNUAL REPORT 2018 – 2019
The 8th grade class of 2019 had something else to celebrate at their commencement ceremony in June. 32 out of 38 graduates completed 20 or more hours of community service during their middle school years and earned themselves a community service badge to wear at graduation. Completing the service hours was optional but demonstrated the Class of
2023’s desire to give back to their community. Middle School
Head Caitha Ambler shared that the majority of students
volunteered in the school garden, but that volunteering in
schools and churches was also a popular choice. The optional
program has completed its inaugural year and is now fully
incorporated into middle school life with 6th, 7th, and 8th
grade students encouraged to get involved and volunteer at
school and in their community.
