Housing Finale: Maas Family Commons Homes Have Names
Donors who provide major support to specific Campaign projects (such as the housing project or endowment fund) are givenanopportunitytoattachanametotheirgift. They may select their own names, their family name or the names of individualswhomtheywishtohonor. Donorswhowishtoremain anonymous at present may defer the naming of the project they funded to a future time.
Appropriate signage will identify the new seven residences
as the Maas Family Commons in honor of Al and Suzanne Maas. Three individual units will be carry names selected by Bob and ConnieKlein,RickandAmyMagnuson, andHankandLisaPlain. A fourth may eventually be named by an anonymous donor.
The unnamed units still present naming opportunities, even thoughtheyarealreadybuilt. TheCampaign’shousingproject drew upon contributions that were unrestricted, and donors willing to replenish those unrestricted funds by significantly underwriting a unit’s cost could select the name for that unit.
At the Priory, we take pride in the fact that "everybody knows yourname." Wearepleasedthat, forgenerationstocome, everyone will know the names of those whose kindness permitted the building of additional campus housing for faculty and staff.
